Susan Vogel

I was born and raised in Canada, I have been married to a Lucerne patent attorney for 32 years and have lived in Switzerland for 25 of those years. We are proud of our two adult daughters, a designer in Zurich and an agency and event manager in Basel. We share our home and life with two much loved Tibetan Terriers.

For me, a perfect day always starts with two cups of mocha, the New York Times crossword, an hour at the gym, and a walk with the dogs in the sun. For the last twelve years, an afternoon in my sewing studio has been part of it, preferably in the company of another quilter or friend. I'm primarily a traditional, functional quilter, but I've tried tons of other techniques as well. I enjoy a themed quilt challenge to focus my attention and I participate in challenges regularly.

I have completed the Quilter's Guild of the British Isles judging course and will be working as a judge at the Festival of Quilts. Six years ago I founded the Modern patCHhquilt group and in 2017 we organized the annual patchquilt group meeting in Zug. I've been the EQA Representative for five years now.
